In June, we were surprised and delighted to receive an email from the food director at Delicious Magazine, inviting us to participate in a pie collaboration story for their upcoming September issue.

Every month it reaches over 2 million Australians.
All About Australia
The theme for this September issue is Australia. Arguably, there is nothing Aussier than the humble meat pie! So, they came up with the brilliant idea of showcasing six delicious pie recipes from renowned bakeries/pie masters across the country.
Pinjarra Bakery proudly represented WA in this visually stunning feature spread produced by Delicious’ clever, creative team.
Introducing: Tuscan Chicken Pie with Prosciutto
For this special pie, Pinjarra Bakery opted to enhance its Italian roots with a Tuscan chicken pie with prosciutto.
Inspired by European summer FOMO the recipe marries tender pieces of chicken thigh, sliced sun-dried tomato, spinach, garlic, onion, parmesan, mixed Italian herbs, parmesan, and delicate, salty bits of prosciutto.
Upon testing the recipe in-house (before passing it on to the delicious team to work their magic), the verdict inside Pinjarra Bakery HQ is best described with this emoji 🤌🤌🤌
Darren Rowen, pie maker said about it: “I always think about foods and cuisines I enjoy eating, and then find a way to translate those flavours and feelings into a pie. It has to evoke emotion. This pie made me feel FOMO from not jetting to Europe this winter!”
A future limited edition?
I’m sure you’ll agree the pie looks sensational! And begs the million-dollar question: Should we release Tuscan Chicken as a limited edition invention pie?
